Problems installing Win2k in new rig. Please help :(

I just built a new machine; epox 8k7a+, tbird 1.4, 512mb ram, 80gb hd, geforce3, dvd, cd-rw, etc.... and Im having problems installing win2k.

I don't know if my hardware setup/bios is correct so that may be the problem, but here is what happens.

Wink2 setup starts up when I boot with the cd, and at the bottoms it says its doing stuff; seting up certain programs, drivers, etc... then it restarts... and does sets up other things.. then resets... and sets up other things as well.... but then... it keeps restarting and doing the same hting over and over again. it restarts and keeps trying to setup all that same stuff. it reset like 15 times before i decided it wasn't working.

Anyone have any ideas???
 
thanks for your help. im prety sure though there is nothing wrong with the hardware, but just maybe hte way i have the MASTEr/SLAVE stuff set up, or something with the bios. anyone have any other ideas??
