Problems installing Motherboards In Rosewill Case

I have tried a few times to install mb's in my new Rosewill case and have only been able to succeed when I insulate the board from the case and only attach the switches and the hard drive and keyboard & mouse connectors. All posts completed and Windows was starting. Then I screwed the board to the case only to have a failure to post at startup. I think I need some kind of insulating screws/keeper nuts but what about the clips that ground the rear inputs for mouse, keyboard, usb connectors and ports? I started to do the cautious testing based on advice here but what is the next step?

Have you checked that there are no excess screws underneath the mobo?
Take off all the ones that you don't use to screw the case down with .

You are you useing standoff's? They are usually gold in color and keep the board off the deck.

I have about 9 gold colored (brass?) standoffs for the board. I was considering using plastic standoffs or plastic washers. Is this a unique problem?
