i built a machine for my fiance.

specs: E6300 | ga-945gcm-s2 | gskill ddr2800 | 430W PSU | windows XP home SP2 | stock cooler running at stock speed

it has been running on the integrated intel graphics for a while now. i just put in a radeon x1950pro and am trying to install the drivers. the machine is running excrutiatingly slow and it will hang half way through the install when i try to install the latest drivers from the website. i finally got the older drivers from the disc that came with it after many tries. after it rebooted everything seemed fine but sims 2 (her favorite game) would no longer open and there were a few odd stability issues. what's going on? could the PSU not be giving it enough power???

Turn off the integrated graphics card in your BIOS.
