Problems installing acrobat

I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 on a Dell Precision 380.

Whenever you go to launch the setup, the busy cursor appear for a few seconds then goes away, the setup never even starts, I've checked the event viewer for any hangs or errors, but it doesn't show anything odd happening. I've also tried using different users and rebooting with no luck.

The install files are on our network, they work on other computers with the exact same configuration, but for some reason this one doesn't work.

Any ideas why?

Maybe the file is not on the network or the wrong path, or corrupted
Or perhaps you are a Limited Account & you need Admin rights to install
Why not download it to a cd & see if it installs that way ... also if this is
Acrobat Reader, they are up to Version 7 (I prefer V5 or 6 myself)
