So i've been trying to install a second sata drive today and i've been getting all sorts of problems, I've tried 2 seperate drives. Both drives when i install them, are detected.. When i pop in the windows disk it shows BOTH of the new drives at 138gigs, when one is 500gb and the other 1.5tb..When i log into my OS on my primary drive it detects the addition of the new hard drive etc so everything seems fine but like i said for some reason it says the size of the drives are 138gb, Also sometimes when im trying to log into my OS on my primary drive it'll randomly reset and make me do CHKDSK.

I've tried removing the primary drive and just using one of the new ones, and once again it says the drive is 138GB..

Any one have any ideas? Both the HD's were brand new

one was a 500gb seagate and the second one was a 1.0TB WD

Here are my computer specs just incase
AMD 64 X2 6000
ASUS M3A78
ATI RADEON HD 4870
KINGSTON 4X 2048 PC 6400

Current HD is WD 250GB ( WDC WD2500AAKS )

Which OS is this? AFAIK, that mobo support 48-bit addressing, and you should have at least XP +SP1 so the OS can see bigger HDs than 137GB.
