I recently sold this item to someone and they were having problems installing it. I was wondering if anyone knew what was causing the problem.
When they install it, it doesn't seem to work. In device manager there is a yellow exclamation point next to the drive. I suggested getting new drivers for the firewire card and the drive, but none were available for either. I had assumed that this drive was just plug and play. I didn't think accompanying software or anything was needed for it.
Can anyone that installed a Maxtor 80gb firewire drive on Win XP help me?
I know I'm being vague but this is all the information I'm given, and I'm not on their computer to troubleshoot it.
