problems in windows media player reproduction

I have a problem with media player, and power dvd...when i play some clips or movies, avi or dvd`s, the picture is scrambled, like it plays it in 16 colours, and the colours are mixed up...i had wmp 9, and i installed wmp 10, but still no improvements, i deleted all codecs, and installed new one`s but still no help. only in media player classic program its normal, but if i play it in wmp or winamp or power dvd, its scrambled....any clues?

ok yea my friend had a possibly similar problem. tho im not sure if he tried wmp classic to see if it worked fine. if you right click on ur desktop -> properties, then go to your video card settings. theres a color correction section. everything in here is probably at fine settings, but the thing is it looks right even though it isnt. so change some settings and change them back to the where they were and apply. see if that works. perhaps it was a different section, but i know that it was associated with a color correction section of the computer being changed, reset, and then re-applied. very odd problem tho.
