I just finished building my first pc and amazingly everything went fine the first time I pushed the power switch. I installed windows XP and service pack 2 immediately, and then the drivers for all my devices.
Everythings working perfect EXCEPT my wirless network card - it's unable to find the wireless network in my house. Here are the things I've already covered:
-Matched network settings with the router (WEP, SSID, etc)
-I tried moving it closer to the router but no change
-Tried resetting the router with the pc OFF
-Tried uninstalling SP2 and reinstalling the card.
-Tried using my roomate's card. (my card was working fine in my previous pc)
-Tried using different pci slots
-Used the most recent drivers.
-Made sure the router firmware was current
Its a linksys WMP54g wireless network card. Our hub is linksys WRT54 hub.
PC is/will be in my sig
Im at my wits end
- any suggestions?
