Problems deleting old Outlook Express Archive File

I just tried to copy a 90gb file from one hard drive to another and I kept on getting an error message saying that I couldn't copy it. I wanted to drop and drag the file and then walk away from the computer. Anyway.. I got it narrowed down to one stupid little outlook express archived file as the reason for getting the error message. The mail files are so old now that I don't really care if I transfer it or not at this point. The problem is that I cannot delete the file either. I want to get rid of the file, so I can drag and drop the 90gb file onto my other drive and let it copy. With this stupid little file, I have to select all the files separately.

How can I modify or delete this mail folder file?

TIA,

Sal

It doesn't look like the files exist in the identities for some reason. Because the files don't exist, Windows won't let me delete or transfer the folder. Any ideas on how to delete this folder?

Thanks again.

It should let you transfer it if the files aren't being used for the current user. Like, if you logged on as another user they would copy, assuming they were under your user profile directory.

It wasn't a "being used by another program or user" error.

What's weird about this is that the folders were initially empty when I thought that I had put a 32 mb email file on the disc. I couldn't figure out why it was empty. The strange thing is that I started moving things around, so I could just drop and drag one file (90gb's) and then walk away from the computer. While I was moving files and folders around, my emails suddenly appeared in the mail file. I was then able to resave the files and delete the folder.

Any idea what happened?
