Problems booting up

This morning I had trouble booting up my computer, after turning on it gives off about 10 beeps like beep beep (small pause about 1 second) 8x beeps and continues to boot into Windows. The problem is, there is nothing on the screen. Everything else seems to work fine. I tried booting again later and it still wasn't working. So I left to do something else, and when I came back (which is now) it suddenly works. What could be the problems? I'm guessing it's either the MoBo or the PSU but I'm not sure.

Give us some hardware specs on the computer.

MoBo: Asrock 939Dual-Sata2
CPU: AMD X2 3800+
Ram: Kingston ValueRam 1gb x2
Vid Card: BFG 8800GT OC 512MB
PSU: Antec True Power II 550W EPS12V

Now it's not working again. I think it might be the PCI-E on the mobo that's broken but I'm not sure so I will see if I can get my hands on an AGP card and see if that works.
