problems booting up

I have
winxp pro sp2
Evga 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition
P4 2.26ghz
intel D875PBZ with the latest bios
Kingston HyperX pc-3200 512BM more on the way
36Gb Western Dital Raptor Sata
Audigy 2
WinXp Promise Ultra 133 TX2 ide controller with a maxtor 250gb 16mb cache for storage.
when this hdd is conneted cant boot. dissconect and boots up quickly.

any help will be greatly helpful..... thanks

Do you mean that you have a separate (eg pci card) ide controller?

I mean, have you tried connecting the HD to the primary ide port on your MB?

cant conntect to main board. for got to add dvd player cd burner and dvd burner. ide cable wont reach to hdd

fixed it. what caused the problem for some reason is i think the pci expansion slot went. or something moved some card around seems to work thanks
