I just posted this in the technical support forum. The discription is pretty rough so if someone is willing to try and help but my explanation is bad just post in either thread of PM. I'm not on all that much but am on at least once a day and will share my progress.

Please help my prospective seti wu's are begging you. 😉

Ooops - I replied to the other group...

Baldy18,

It should fire up at least to the point of checking for an HDD. That's going to tell you everything is ok to that point.

You can just use a jumper on the switch pins on the mobo to fire it up - you don't need a switch.

Actually, you should be able to short across the switch pins with just about anything metal (screwdriver, etc) to get it to fire.

The power supply is from 3y power technologies and is a 1+1 redundant supply. For the power cord there are 5 wires, one is a ground. I have the ground and two of the others attched to a cord and only one of the supplies is powering on whne plugged in. Are both supposed to come on? Am I supposed to hook up hte other two wires somehow? If so how? As you can tell this type of thing is new to me.

Back up there a little...

and DON'T touch those together!

I thought you meant the motherboard. I've seen those PS's before, but don't remember, but I bet Russ does. Hang on.

no. no. no. Sorry about the confusion. Two separate deals there. Don't worry I'm not electricuting myself.
