I rebuilded my PC in a brand new Chieftec case and used the opportunity to add memory, start with a new HD and added a PCI graphic card for a second monitor.
When I boot the system with WINXP cdrom to boot from... The installation starts detecting the hardware but suddenly the screen freezes ...
After a reset or after shutting down and starting again, the screen stays without input although it seems like the system is starting up (1 beep as usual when it starts and cdrom drive starts turning...).
If is shut down the PC for about 15 minutes, and start it up again, it starts the installation again but then freezes again...
I tried taking out the PCI and AGP graphic cards since there is one builtin on the MOBO, I tried removing the new memory module, I tried to use my old 400W power supply instead of the Chieftec 360W...
Could it be that the system is confused about the 3 graphic cards even when PCI and AGP are removed?
What should I do? I'm starting to get a little hopeless...
