problem

hey i just got windows xp installed but for some reason it keeps on restarting does any one know why?

does it do it just as windows starts up, or after you start working, or at random?
is your system overclocked at all?

when it goes to the desktop a couple seconds later it restarts so i dont have a chance to install nothing
and no its not overclocked, it said something about my radeon ve was the cause for instabilty and i dun have enough time to install the driver so it restarts again

Once my system did that same thing and later found out the motherboard was the culprit. But I'm sure there are other reasons this could happen.

Try booting into safe mode and go looking for a hardware conflict. Only the primary drivers to run the rig is loaded. Hope this helps.
