Problem with XP , will not boot, get blue screen

My experence with xp has been going great , however last night it would not shutdown

from the shutdown on the start menu so i held the power button down on my laptop to do a manual shut

down , now i went to start it up this morning and it bring a a blue screen saying error the error is unmountable_boot_volume, any one no what this is? it will not boot into safe mode nor will

it using the last good boot up
