Problem with xmpeg on Abit IT7?

I upgrade to a P4 1.6A/Abit IT7 from an Athlon 1.4G. When I use xmpeg 4.5 on Athlon to encode divx movie (divx 5.0.2), I have no propblem at all. But when I run the same program with the exact setup, xmpeg crashes on my P4. The problem has something to do with audio. (I try both radium and lame codec.) If I encode divx with no audio, everything is fine. If I paly back audio, or encode with audio, it crashes in 0 to 3 minutes after I start. This is a win2k system. The problem occurs even there is no over clock. All other applications on my P4 are running fine. Any suggestion? Thanks.
