Problem with X800XL card

I just got my new X800XL card (Giga-byte model) 256mb DDR3 and it has this high-pitched whirring sound, but when I slow the fan down with my finger there is no difference in the tone of the sound. Is this some kind of error sound tone coming from the card I don't know about?

I'm at a loss what to do atm other than possibly exchange the card as the sound doesn't appear to be coming from any of my fans.
