Hello,
Just got my x1950gt AGP today, got installed, up and running, uninstalled my old card and did a driver clean. Everything works fine except for one thing.
I have it hooked up to my computer monitor and LCD tv both by DVI. The TV is DVI to HDMI. Upon setting the resolution on my HDTV, whenever I try to 1280x720 there are always black bars around the image, like it's hesitant to fill my screen. I've tried following the instructions to fix with on ATI's site, but the problem was with component connections. I've done the whole custom resolution add thing, and when I clicked add with the resolution I wanted, the adjuster fills the whole screen, but after clicking OK it just goes back to normal. I've found a temporary solution by changing the resolution 1280x716 it fills the whole screen. That is all fine and dandy, but when I try to play a game at 1280x720, it just reverts back to black bars around the image. It's really frustrating. Anyone have any pointers.
I under stand that my post might be a bit convoluted and can explain more if needed.
