Problem with Wireless LAN in Control Panel

Amused

Hey -- how does one delete an item in control panel?? My wireless LAN driver has reinstalled itself a few times through all my trials and tribulations of late -- and now I have 3 instances of the wireless LAN in control panel show up -- but I can't seem to delete any of them ..... so what do you do to get rid of them???

You can start by finding out if there are really three different control panel applets in %system_root%\SYSTEM32, the control panel applets are the *.CPL files. For a simple fix, you can use something like TweakUI to hide two of them. 🙂

BTW, knowing which O/S you run would be helpful...

Yup -- 3 copies of the .cpl file -- just deleted 2 -- and the extra's are gone .... they were named yadayada.cpl, yadayada[2].cpl, and yadayada[3].cpl -- it was pretty obvious ....

Thanks guys!!!
