OK so I am supposed to set up ICS on my mother-in-law and father-in-law's computers. He is running Me and she is running 98SE

His computer has the modem for dial-up access. I set up ICS on his machine, said he was the connection to the internet, and set the wireless adapter to the connection to the LAN.

It made the disk for me to install on the 98 machine, so I install ICS on the 98 machine with the disk.

The 2 PCs can see each other fine, and browse files. However, the 98 machine will not see the internet connection. Also, if i try to install ICS on the 98 machine by going to add remove programs, it tells me to set up the network hardware before setting up ICS.

I have them set up as ad-hoc w/ his PC set as 192.168.0.1 and hers as 192.168.0.2. I also have her gateway set up as 192.168.0.1

anyone have any idea what the heck i'm doing wrong?

well i kinda got it to work... when his computer is on the internet she can get on now, I just had to enable DNS. However, if his computer is not on the internet, and she opens IE or something that accesses the internet, it does not automatically dial from his PC
