problem with WinXP and NSW2002

I just installed Norton SystemWorks 2002 Pro on a machine running XP Home SP1. The problem is, something went wrong right at the end of the install, and my computer locked up before being prompted to restart. So I had to press reset. Now, I get a blue screen every time I boot up, and it says, 'Windows needs to check the integrity of your C: drive'. After it checks my hard drive, my desktop loads, but then my computer freezes about 20 sec. later and ctrl-alt-del does nothing.

Any suggestions?

Well then. In safe mode, remove all references to the startup of Norton stuff using msconfig, and disable any system services related to it. Then maybe it won't lock up the system and you can uninstall normally.
