I am tryiing to repair my windows xp install so I put the CD in, booted to it, said I wanted to repair the installation, it copies the files, blah blah blah, and my PC restarts and it goes through the installation thing. The problem is that when it gets to the installing devices part, my mouse (tried MX700 and a cheap USB log. mouse) turns off and a pop comes up saying that my 6800gt is not recognized by windows or something like that and would you like to continue. I cannot click continue b/c my mouse has turned off. Also my keyboard is turned off so I can't hit enter (it is the wireless counterpart of the mx700). So what do I do to make my mouse or keyboard stay on?

get a wired kb/mouse for the install? I haven't had much experience with wireless, but unless you are installing using a SP1 or SP2 disc, you might have some trouble getting the computer to recognize the wireless kb/mouse.

What exactly are you repairing XP for?? A reinstall on top of your existing install (which the full repair you are doing essentially is) is never a good idea.
