problem with winamp playing cds

For some reason winamp will not play cd audio on my computer. The standard Windows cd player, the SB Live cd player, and Windows Media Player will all play cd music, but when I try to use winamp, it just plays silence. It'll say it's playing the file, but the little visualizer bars are flat across the bottom and there's no sound. Anyone have any suggestions?
