Problem with Win2k and encryption

I had an installation of Win2k on my D: drive and decided to encrypt some of my files(using windows encryption). Well a few days ago it crashed and I couldnt recover it(Couldnt even boot into safe mode) So i decided to reinstall on the C: drive. Now however, the files i encrypted can be executed or opened, however they can't be moved. I tried to take ownership of the files, but that didnt work either. The D: drive is ntfs and the c: drive is fat32. Do you think the reason for me not being able to move the files has to do with C: drive being fat32? Or is it impossible to these files indefinitely.
thanks

Take ownership of the drive and remove the encryption. I think that you are seeing the problem due to the system drive that you are trying to move to(I am guessing at that) is FAT32 and does not support encryption in the file system.
