Lately, I've noticed that whenever a window is minimized, the thumbnails are static instead of realtime. If I don't minimize a window and instead put another over it, the thumbnail is still live. Its once I minimize a window that its thumbnail becomes static. The only program that I've seen as an exception to this would be windows media player (the video plays in the thumbnail while minimized).

please help me. i am at a dead end since my copy is OEM :p

Am I really that delusional? :p I could of sworn it used to give me live thumbnails when minimized. Im gonna double check next time I'm at best buy, just to make sure. thanks

why do you click minimize button? I rarely do that. If I want to switch a new window I just click the app window on the taskbar, there are also shortcut keys like Win+D for desktop, Alt+Tab and Win+Tab (in aero).

Hrm...

Perfect timing - I just noticed my thumbnails are NOT static the other day and I was wondering about this...

I was making a YouTube video a couple of days ago, using Windows Movie Maker, and I noticed that when I minimized it, I could actually see it playing in the thumbnail.

Truthfully, this is the first time I've ever seen this happen, but I don't use hardly any MS apps, sooo...

Maybe only certain apps have this capability?!?!?!?
