Problem with ViewKeyXP?

Okay I was working on a computer for a friend and he lost his XP Key for XP Home and now we had to do a reload, and I used ViewKeyXP to get it, and when I run the install it says the key is invalid, I have used ViewXPKey in the past and have no problems, but that has been in pro. Any ideas would be great.

Also lmk if this is not a good place to put this I know it sounds a little bad, but he does have a legal copy, I hope he is just not screwed.
 
mm... maybe you have to get a new one from ms?

yea, he's not screwed at all. at the very worst, all he has to do is give ms a call.
