Problem with using Windows Media Center on xbox 360

Thought I see if anybody has run into this problem with a xbox 360 before because it's little baffling to me.

I been running windows media center on my 360 for couple of years using a Verizon's FIOS Actiontec router via wired 100mb connection with no issues. We moved to a new house and setup FIOS service with new equipment at the new location. Set everything back up but now media center no longer works with the 360.

Looking into it further it seems like the 360 turns off it's 10/100 LAN port as soon as media center starts to load. I can ping the 360 right up until the point I start media center on the 360. After a couple minutes the 360 times out saying can't find media center server etc.. (well of course not the connection the router is gone). I can the LAN connection drop off from the routers web interface.

I can go back to the the 360's configuration settings and test connections to pc, media center, etc. and everything tests fine, and the xbox shows up on the router again (and the 360 is seen on the network as well). I've tried changing the 360 network settings to static address but didn't make any difference. I've changed network cables as well to rule out a cabling issue.

I deleted and re-added the media center connection to the desktop and to the 360 again just to be sure that didn't get broken in some way, (the part where you add the 8 digit code etc.) but port still gets shut down on the 360.

Besides the router being changed to a new one (same model Actiontec though) is that the 360 did the dec 11th dashboard update. Not sure if the dashboard update did some weird things or not. Everything else works fine on the 360, i.e. Windows Live, cloud games etc. It's only when I try to run windows media center the network port on the 360 shuts down.

Weird one I know.. any ideas?

Finally figured it out.. My windows 7 license had 'expired', after fixing that issue, deleted, reinstalled xbox extender, worked immediately. I guess the 360 turns off it's icmp settings as it usually isn't pingable, even when it's up and running.. even the router shows it as not being connected even when it is which added to the problem solving issues.
