Problem with two harddrives, are they broken?

I have a quite big problem with two of my harddrives, which is that bios never recognizes them.

The whole problem began when my computer hooked at start-up, with ca half windows loaded. I turned of the power and restarted the computer, and bios didn't recon the drives, both of them. The same thing had happen earlier (bios not recognizing the drives), but it have always fixed itselfs after a few reboots. Well, i tried to boot a couple of times and it didn't work, so i tested in another computer, and it didn't work their either.
The drives start to spin everytime i start the computer.

It would be nice to know if the drives are broken, or if you can do anything to make them work again.

pls excuse my english, i come from sweden..

You say your comuter "hooked"? Please explain.

Did you use the same cable in the second computer? If so, try a different cable.

Did you try each drive separately in the same computer? A different computer?

Divide and conquer: Try to isolate the problem.
