Problem with TV Wonder 2.0/MMC

When I first used my ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 I was able to capture up to ___x480 in all formats in ATI MMC. Suddenly, for some reason, I am not able to capture any higher than ___x240 in AVI format. MPEG and other formats can still be captured in maximum resolution.

Strangely, I am currently able to capture video at 720x480 AVI in other capture programs such as Capturix and WinAVI Capture (though only ATI MMC is able to detect sound; not sure why).

I cannot pinpoint what happened to cause this. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling all ATI drivers and software (as well as in the registry) to no avail. I have tried the WDM drivers which didn't help. ATI tech support suggested reinstalling Windows Media Encoder which, of course, did nothing. It must be a driver issue, but I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

I think it is caused by USB bandwidth limitation. Capturing AVI at the resolution needs large amount of bandwith..is your TV wonder plugged into a USB2.0 port?

It is plugged into USB2.0 port. All USB performances tests passed (height-720 width-480). One test that failed is "capture driver inf files are not installed," even though I have all the latest drivers from ATI's site. So it must be driver-related.
