Problem with TV Tuner on new Radeon.

Okay, Im using Win2k and have a brand new radeon AIW I just installed. For some reason I click the TV button I get that the TV player failed to initialize the video. Any idea why this happens? Ive installed all the drivers and even reinstalled them. Still no go. Any Windows settings I need to change? Any known issues? Thanks!

I don't have any personal experience, but I heard that the ATI TV tuners don't function well at all in Windows 2000/XP environments.

Not true whatsoever. MS prevents ATI from shipping the needed runtime files with their installation CDs and drivers. Hence, you need to download this update to get the AIW Radeon to work.

I happen to be using the Radeon AIW Tv tuner in Win2k right now. Watching Enterprise. 🙂

MiniThug, Did you get the newest drivers? From my experience, it didn't work at 1024x768 until I got the newer (beta) drivers. Get the new Multimedia Center 7.1 and DVD update from www.ati.com. Also check Windows Updates, if you didn't get the newer Radeon drivers, MS provides drivers which fixes the tv tuner software. Though the newer drivers do the same thing.

Hope this helps. Back to watching the show. 🙂
