I have a Powercolor Theater 550 PRO PCI-E, installed in the top slot of my Epox 9NPA+ Ultra. I already have SageTV installed and ready to go. As soon as I install the latest Theater 550 PRO driver from ATI, dated 12/13/06, upon next restart my system hangs for about 10 minutes after I enter my password at the login screen before getting to the desktop. There is little to no HDD activity and it looks like it froze, but if you wait long enough it eventually goes. If you remove the device from Device Manager and restart, the problem goes away.
What can I try here? I'm not experiencing any conflicts or issues with anything else. The only thing I can think of to do is to try the slot below where it is now, but I can't imagine that making much difference.
