Problem with transferring files over a wireless network

So I'm trying to send a bunch of videos from my vista PC to my Ubuntu PS3 by sticking the files in my public folder and then trying to copy and paste them from my PS3 through my wireless network. So then it shows up under the network on my PS3 and I try to copy and paste a video. The problem is, it gives me a timeout error after 30 seconds or so. It does this with every video (each around 200mb). I'm assuming this means that either my router (WRT54G) or windows places a time limit on how long a file can take to transfer? If so, is there a way to get rid of this?
