Problem with the search function?

I found it no problem "anyone watch lost" and poof first and only hit. Two things

1) search indexes as content changes (not instanenous given that ther are 16 million messages)

2) just searching for lost does not mean your post will show up, its RANK/RELEVENCY based. If you want to order by date alone then check that in advanced search. Our search functions similar to google, in that posts are ordered by rank/relevence and date together.

I would like to add something to this, if nobody minds. I started a thread tonight, which can be found here. "Recommendations" finds this thread but "upgrade" does not. So if any search term finds it at all then that means it's already been indexed. I know you say that the search is rank- and relevancy-based, but shouldn't the thread still be somewhere in the results, even if it isn't first?
