I get errors when just switching and leaving the old content on the hard drive. I thought it would detect the new hardware and adjust, but I get errors, any way to avoid this?
Not a good plan. There are ways to do this, but not any are "guaranteed". Your best bet would have been to format and reinstall your OS. BTW, what OS are you using? Going from one mfg (Intel) to another (AMD) is really pushing the limits of the OS also. Sorry to give you the bad news. The good news? Well, in the AT FAQ's there is an article on switching hardware with the same OS info on your HDD. Maybe "Andy" the FAQ man will step in here and enlighten you on this.
Edit:Found it! The article in the AT FAQ's is here. As Andy would "say", you've been FAQ'd!
