A friend of mine is having some trouble, and I wanted to see if others have too. I'm not at the system, so it doesn't help, but they sent me their dxdiag.txt file. They're apparently on an HP 7490 and are getting directX errors when trying to load the game. They installed DX 8.1, but its still giving errors. Another cmoputer savvy friend was at their house and said they needed a "T and L" (Transforming & Lighting?) compatible card.
Looking at the specs of the machine and the dxdiag.txt the sent me, it appears to be an Intel 82810E video chipset on Windows ME. Does this not have T and L? Is WinME the issue?
Just curious if:
1) This guy is on track that they need a new video card, and
2) What's the first chipset by Nvidia with support for T and L? I'm assuming the TNT2?
3) Does this HP model have an AGP slot? HP's site isn't too helpful.
