Problem with SOYO KT333 Platinum

My new SOYO KT333 Platinum motherboard is quite fast and stable. It does, however, have a serious and intermittent (frequent) problem. The board comes with a ?Bayone Sigma Box? mountable in a 3.5 or 5.5 bay and provides two front-accessible USB 2.0 ports, a compact flash reader and a smart media reader. The box is connected to two USB 2.0 connectors on the front of the board.

Unfortunately, the Bayone frequently is not recognized and does not come up correctly (successfully recognized on POST? I know because the LED blinks). The OS (I?m using W2K and XP) does not recognize the device if LED doesn?t blink on POST. I?ve triple checked connectors (both ends) and manual procedure. The drivers are installed correctly because on a very cold start, the box is recognized and works about one time out of five tries. I think there?s either a physical problem with the mobo or with the box or a problem with the BIOS. I?m very anxious to get the box working because it was the primary reason I bought the board. Is anyone else having the same problem?
