Problem with "sleepy" 193p

Hi, I have a problem with my samsung 193p. When I boot my PC the monitor shows the input check (analog - digital, analog - digital, ....),

Normally it does dit only once, then stays on digital, but starting yesterday it keeps running the check and after a while it just says: "going to sleep".

Things I tried already: reboot PC, reinsert grafic card (and removing dust, also from AGP slot), used the analog connection instead of DVI. --> still no picture (I get no picture whatsoever (no bootscreen, login,...) exept for the input check and the no signal messages when I unhook the cable)

Before I would replace my grafic card with my spare one (matrox g450 dual dsub) I reconnected my old 19" CRT --> works without any problems.

System info: Asus v8460 ultra deluxe (ti4600) , xp pro, asus a7v266e, xp2400+

I also tried both monitors together: 193p still going to sleep, and I don't get the nview message that there's a second monitor detected.

The 193p worked without any problems for 7 weeks (till yesterday).

I know samsung gives 3 year on site warranty, but I still have a little hope there's maybe another solution for this problem. (I bought a zero pixeldefect warranty from the Dutch webshop I bought it from, and if I get a replacement from Samsung, I run the risk of getting one with dead pixels.)

Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried it, because the other monitor worked, so I figured the card was working o.k. Maybe I'll give it a try anyway tonight.

I have to leave to work now (I didn't think I'd get replies this fast 😉 )
All help is very appreciated.
