I bought my Mom a combo VCR/DVD player for Christmas and I always have to set it for her to tape programs. On setup, you have to go to Tuning and set it for CATV to get channels above 13. I did that originally, but it seems that every time the thing comes on it keeps resetting to TV and she doesn't get her show taped if it's on a channel above 13.
This weekend she wanted golf taped on channel 16 and I set it to CATV and then checked it again before we left for a shopping trip and it was still set that way. When we got back though, her tape was nothing but static and I checked the settings, it was reset back to TV instead of CATV.
Am I missing something here to keep it on CATV or is the machine messed up?
