Problem with SETI@home

I'm relatively new to SETI@home (did it for a bit back in 05ish but never knew if I had my account linked to the team). I had shoulder surgery today and the timing couldn't be any better since I just put together a new Phenom X3 rig last night. I was super excited to get BOINC installed and S@H up and running but since installing it I can't get a single task; it says there are none for the project. What exactly does this mean? I know they can't possibly have run out of numbers to crunch so how do I fix this? I was already bummed out at losing 50% and 50 hours total on two tasks last night that I lost in the reformat/retiring of two old HDDs and now I can't even start playing catch up. :(

Disclaimer: My right arm is still completely numb so I'm typing with only my left hand and I took 2 vicodin about 30 mins ago so I apologize for any incoherence/typos above.

Seti had a database crash last week, they've been working on fixing it. Till then you might try another project. :)

I hope your shoulder heals fast!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into some of the other programs in the meantime.

You might check out Rosetta, they are near breaking 100,000,000 points. Any extra to hit it faster would be nice :)

Also, SIMAP only releases a few WUs at the start of every month, so right now is a race to see who can get them before they run out. Pretty fun. :)

Since I've got an audience and don't feel like as much of a n00b, is there any way to get more cuda tasks besides updating the project? Because yesterday I had 7 or so, but once they all finished I haven't gotten any new ones.

Edit: Just realized this could be due to the issues they've been having.

yes, you can change your settings to allow it to keep 10 days' worth of work in the queue at all times.

advanced/preferences/network usage will get you there. next time there's a 5 day outage or 2 day outage or whatever you'll have plenty of work on the computer. well, unless you're dajeepster and you're running 16 gtx 295's on an 8 core ES core i7 v2 that gets 40000 cobblestones/day. :)
