Problem with search

First, I am a subscriber.

When I do a search for some of the stuff that I have for sale in the sale/trade forum, my thread won't show up. For example, if I type in panaflos and click on either 'body' or 'title or body' and search in just the forsale/trade forum my thread does not come up. I can do a search for other items and the thread still doesn't come up. Can someone please explain this to me?

Select: Title or Body

Select: Forsale/Trade

My thread should show up but it does not.
 
Ok here is how it works

1) The body of messages are indexed nightly, so anything posted during the day will not show up. We will not index more frequently as indexing is a system overhead that is only incurred during the early mornings.

2) the archives are not indexed yet as we just did db work and they have to reindex which takes days, not hours 🙂 They are refreshed every weekend, not every day.

Other than that, the search works great.
 
I am still confused because my thread is about a week old. Would it have been indexed? Can you do a search as I described above and see my thread because I can not.

Do additional posts liking bumping a thread dump the thread from the previous nights search?

I try to search for items that I have in my thread and my thread will not come up. It is a current thread.
 
optoman, as I thought it works fine? I searched for UltraPlex in the body and low and behold your thread was the second thread listing. Remember (as with any other boolean search) it will ignore noise words like to,and,from,me,to,them and about 50-60 more.

Some of the items will make me thread show up but if you do this:

Type in: Panaflos

Select: Title or Body

Select: Forsale/Trade

My thread should show up but it does not. I tried everquest, Thermaltake, golden orb and those also did not bring up my thread. It seems like it only searches about half of the first post in the thread.
 
I don't think there are any issues, SQL is probably just ignoring those words as it is a phrased based search system.
