Problem with ripping CD's, "Buffer too big"???

I have a TDK 16/10/40 CD-RW, windows XP and a Sound Blaster Live value.
Everything worked fine before, I could rip CD's to the hard drive using Musicmatch 7.0.
Then I reformated after installing a new motheboard. When I tried to rip my CD's again in MM I got an error message saying
"Buffer to large, retry in Analog mode". I switched the mode from digital to analog and tried to start ripping again.
It would only rip at 1x and after it was done the tracks were really fuzzy.
Anybody have any ideas as to what the problem could be?
