I have an Opty 165 with EVGA MB and an e-sata PCI-E 1x card. Recently I tried to connect a 2TB Hitachi drive through e-sata (and a Vantec Nextstar3 enclosure) and the drive does not get picked up. When I hooked it up to an internal port converted to e-sata port, my machine won't even boot.
I was able to connect through USB2.0 but that would take an eternity.
Is this a MB firmware issue, e-sata card issue or enclosure issue? I doubt I'll find a mb bios update
It's EVGA 133-K8-NF41
