Problem with RAM installation

So my problem is kind of weird; I bought 2 of the same exact type of RAM, and that's all I want to put in my PC. The model is KVR400X64C3A/512, and it's compatible with my motherboard according to the Kingston website, and I can have up to 1.5 gigs in (each one is 512 MB).

However, if I use 2 of them concurrently, my computer doesn't even boot up, I see a black screen, hear a high pitched beep coming from the motherboard itself. Now these 2 RAM sticks are EXACTLY the same, and each of them work if I put them in alone. With both in, the computer will not work at all.

I asked my friends about this, and they told me they thought I might need to play with the BIOS, and since I have 0 experience with that (but know it's potentially dangerous for a newbie to mess with), I was wondering if people in this forum had a guide for this sort of thing or some instructions.

Thanks a lot,

That RAM is SPD'd for 2.6v, because it's sold as individual sticks. It's not rare at all for RAM, especially DDR (as opposed to DDR2 or DDR3) to require an extra .1v of vdimm, when ran in dual channel mode.
