problem with radeon 9700pro in baldurs gate II

i reinstalled the game for the first time since getting my new pc and vid card

and everytime i go into the game the resolution looks extremely low, the colors are all messed up, basically it looks like windows when u first boot up with no vid card installed except a heck of a lot worse

and i dont know how to fix it 🙁

i tried updating the game and altering all the settings in the games menu..

any ideas?
