problem with quick buttons/audio buttons

i cant seem to get any of the quick buttons to work on my
dell inspiron 8000
and when i use the function key to turn down the volume it doesnt work either
i know the function key work for switching displays and ejecting the CD-rom but not for any audio purposes, anyone have any ideas? i couldnt find the software for it on dell.com
 
I think the software is called Dell Quickset or something close. Try using an I8200 as your machine on the dell site to find it. I know logitech iTouch will give you functionality of the volume keys. Hope that helps
