Problem with PCMCIA card.

I bought a pcmcia ethernet card (Xircom XE2000) on eBay, and anytime I insert it in my Dell Inspiron 7000 WindowsXP just freezes, no mouse movement. If i take it out windows unfreezes. Same thing in safe mode. If I put it in before i boot up it freezes on the winxp boot screen.

Is it a bad card or is there some kind of conflict? I have 2 other pcmcia cards that work fine..

You may try installing the drivers before PNP gets to it.

thanks for the tip, unfortunately it doesnt seem like theres a 'setup' file on the driver set, its just documentation, and it looks like i'd have to browse to it
