Problem with PC 133 RAM w/ my computer

I already know that you can use PC133 on a PC100 mobo, but it will just be downgraded to PC100. But I get this 168mb Capactiy Error. I'm going to contact Compaq, but as far as I can tell I have a Via VT82C686A motherboard which came in my Compaq Presario 5745.
