Hi, guys, thanks for coming by
I recently merge my E drive with my D drive using Partition Magic.
before the merge, the computer ask me whether i want to put all my stuff in E drive to a folder named E in D drive. I clicked yes
After the merge, there is a E folder in my D drive, however, I can not open that folder, it says that Acess is Denied.

What is the hell, pls help me

Did you backup your data before you attempted to merge?
Partition magic is known to be very buggy with merging partitions. If you search in the internet, you can find many complaining about it.

If you did not backup, you may want to look into data recovery.

It may be a matter of fixing permissions. But, if you did not backup your data, the more you use the drive the less likely it is that you can get your data back.

If you are not worried about losing the data, look into XP permissions.

A bit late now, but this works:
- Expand the D: partition with PM - if necessary - to make room for data from E:.
- Close PM.
- Copy the data from the E: partiton to the D: partition in Windows.
- Use PM to delete the E: partition.
- Use PM to expand D: to use all empty space.

I think you can just use Windows Disk Management for the last two operations.

Hope this helps!

One thing that I have found using Partition Magic: Always do one step at a time. It's posible to delete a partition, and expand a partion with just one click of the 'Apply' button. Each step should be completed before going to the next. Failure to do so can hose your system.

Bozo 😀
