Have bought a intel CPU (SL6VB) 2.2 Ghz Mobil pentium 4 M with the purpose of breaking the pin and run it a FSB=200. I have a Asus P4GPL-X motherboard which have the ability to change Vcore from 1.1-1.7 V.
Firstly I tried just to connect the cpu before breaking the pin. The cpu was running fine, just only at 100 FSB. So I decided to break the pin but after reinstalling it I just cant get it to boot. Every time I shift to another CPU (Pentium M 1.6 Ghz + CT479 adapter) i make the boot perfect.
The 1 million dollar question is now if I have damaged the P4M CPU?
Is there anything that I need to know when breaking the pin and installing it afterwards?
I hope there is still hope for me...
