problem with Outlook 2007 address book

If I do a Ctrl+Shift+B the box is empty, there are no filters or anything, I'm just trying to display my address book. If I add a new entry I'm still not seeing it. A Ctrl+3 is bringing them up, but if I try to search nada comes up. I tried searching for 5 different contacts and all are coming back not found. I have a good number of contacts so finding them manually is taking a long time. I see about 24 on my screen right now, none of them seem searchable.

Anyone here good with Outlook who can give me some insight? I'm stumped and about to dump Outlook and go back to using Eudora Pro 🙂
 
Have you enabled the Contacts folder as an Address Book?

Right-click on the Contacts folder, select properties, then go to the Outlook Address Book tab to verify.
